BODY IN THE BUNKER

Tee off with the Wharf Rats in their sixth mystery adventure, "Body in the Bunker"!

When Mayor Gordon Godson's morning golf lesson takes an unexpected detour — and a body part emerges from the seventh-hole bunker — Shell Bay's peaceful seafront is suddenly the scene of a yet another murder.
Detective Inspector Linda Jenkins has seen Shell Bay at its worst. But nothing quite prepares her for a murder investigation running alongside the most chaotic mayoral election in the town's history. Three candidates are vying for Gordon's soon-to-be-vacant seat: Karen Cross, his sensible and long-suffering assistant who actually knows how to run a town; Marshall Evans, a disgraced ex-councillor with too many secrets; and Paul Westbrook, a fitness model with forty thousand Instagram followers and very little else. Behind them all lurks Agnes Crofton — cigarette in hand, watching everything, pulling every string.
As Linda and the Wharf Rats dig deeper, they discover that the dead person in the bunker is not only connected to a one of the town’s dirtiest secrets, they also had a stake in the election, and a spouse who doesn’t seem too upset by their demise.
The final Wharf Rat mystery is Linda's most personal case yet — a story of revenge, loyalty, old wounds, and the complicated question of who really deserves to lead Shell Bay into a new era. With a resolution that will surprise even the most seasoned mystery reader, Body in the Bunker brings the series to a deeply satisfying close, with every beloved character getting exactly the ending they deserve.
Because sometimes the most dangerous thing in a small town isn't a murderer. It's a secret that's been waiting thirty years to come out.
